Planning with Docrafts Digital Designer - Part 2 - The card

Hiya crafty friends,

If you remember my last post, Planning with Docrafts Digital Designer, you would have seen my plans for this card.
I'm really pleased how it came out and it came out pretty much as I planned. The only thing I tweaked slightly was the 'ribbon' that goes across centre, which a shortened slightly

Planning with Docrafts Digital Designer...

Hiya crafty friends,

Hope everyone has had a fabulous Christmas and Boxing day.  I have been playing with the new Creativity Club download, that came out on Christmas eve, on the Docrafts Digital  Designer.

I decided to do something I've never thought of doing before. Design a card digitally, then I will make the physical card.

So, for starters, here is the digital plan for my card. Come back in a couple of day to see my made card

Happy New Year...in December!!! :)

Hiya crafty friends,

Well, I've not been very organised this Christmas, which is very unlike me. But now that I've got a little free time (and little is the word...lol) I thought I'd give myself a head start.

I want to try to do a bit more Digital scrapbooking next year, so I thought I'd make a start on my New Years Day page. I loved using the new Creativity Club download, which is out on Monday, with the free Docrafts Digital Designer.

I also used elements from the Me to you - Especially For You cd-rom (I loveTatty Teddy)

All I have to do now is add my photos

Lets hope I am this organised with my plan to scrapbook next year :)

We wish you a Fairy Christmas (Meljen Designs)

Hiya crafty friends,

With all the running about that we all do at this time of year, it is nice to take a little time to yourself and do something relaxing.

Well, one of the things that relaxes me is colouring with my Promarkers. I had been dying to colour these little cuties from Meljens Designs. Who have kindly sponsored our December challenge, over on the Challenge Blog.

I really enjoyed colouring these, and I will definitely be popping over to buy one or two more :)

On the first day of Christmas...

Hiya crafty friends,

Well, this year has gone soooooo quick, too quick. I can't believe it is nearly Christmas already.
This year I had a go at making my own hanging pocket advent calender.

It is amazing what you can do with some cardboard boxes, toilet rolls and some wrapping paper. I really had my own little Blue Peter moment...lol!

What I was most pleased about was that the fabulous Creativity Club timed their free advent numbers download just right for me, which was perfect as I was wondering how I would do my numbers :)

Red and gold always feel really Christmassy to me, and I aged the scalloped number circles with Tea Dye distress ink to go with the gold card I had used.

I embellished the pockets with antique gold card die cut, which was embossed with me favourite snowflake embossing folder. Which was free in a magazine :)

Red and gold ribbon was then used the connect the two pieces together and also a length to hang the calender from.
