Hope you all had a lovely Easter and everyone here in the UK have a lovely bank holiday.
What a fabulous couple of days (and very busy for the lovely Nancy) last week for Tattered Lace's gorgeous new Venetian collection. There was stock selling out left right and centre, and I'm not surprised really.

As a Tattered Lace design team member I was lucky enough to have the dies to make some samples for the show.

Piece of me

Hiya crafty friends

The weeks are going by so fast and here we are ready for the Polkadoodle Digi Choosday Challenge, where as always there will be a great offer too. So make sure you pop over and have a look see.

I really enjoyed making this weeks Paper Piece theme project, which is a large A4 Get Well Soon card.

I used Emma Canning's Rainy Days digi, which I have to say is one of my faves, and went mad and totally paper pieced her. She does like her spots, doesn't she...lol :)

The background was taken from the Hoots Tree collection, which I though work perfectly with the feel of the card. The cloud was made using a striped paper from the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk and I used my Silhouette software to allow my sentiment to follow the shape of the cloud.

I also added a little Glossy Accent to the rain drops to give them a water effect. They were also made using the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk collection.

I used a combination of papers to paper piece the figure, which were the Christmas Joy and Dollie Daydream Girl Talk collections.

Hopping by...

Hiya crafty friends

I couldn't decide whether to make a card or bag for this weeks Digi Choosday Oval theme. So in the end I went mad and made both...lol :)

I made the scalloped oval card using the Boys Hoot collection and have coloured the Cupcake Cutie digi with my Promarkers. I have added a scummy chocolate Easter egg using foam pads to give some dimension.

The bag was made totally from ovals which I cut from a spotty paper from the Christmas Joy collection (so it's not just for xmas) and inked the edged with Peacock Feather Distress Ink. The inner of the ears was made using a patterned paper from the Heart To Heart collection, as was the little heart I used for the nose.

Tattered Lace challenge and blog candy!

Hiya crafty friends,

I have some incredibility exciting news to share with you all...I have been asked to join the brand new Tattered Lace Challenge Design team! Where the overall winner of the challenge will receive a massive prize of a £50 voucher to spend on www.crafting.co.uk and the top three will receive a blinkie to post on their blogs

My first challenge card is all about the Gorgeous Lavish Blooms die collection

The flower was made with the Lavish Blooms Poppy die using a combination of pink card which I edged with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, and also pink tissue paper. The centre of the flower was made using two of the dies from Lavish Blooms Stamen Set

The sentiment was made using the fantastic Cherished Centres, which I embellished with two petals I cut from the Lavish Blooms Aster die.

I absolutely love the Lavish Blooms Leaves set and I added them around the flower. To make the boarder I made use of the 'waste' from cutting the Lavish Blooms Stamen for the centre of the flower.

To made the buds I cut three petals from Lavish Blooms Lily die and added to the bottom a section of a fern leaf that I had cut away from the large leaf. I also used two skeleton leaves from the Lavish Blooms Leaves set.

Flower Power

Hiya crafty friends,

I have to say one of my favourite things to do in crafting is to make paper flowers, so was over the moon when I saw this weeks theme, Flower Power, for this weeks Digi Choosday challenge and fabulous offer.

I have made a card and matching gift box set.

The image I used for the card is the Dollie Daydream Bouquet digi, and all the papers used where taken from the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk Collection.

The lovely Dollie Daydream

I also sponged the edges of some of the flower on the gift box and the smaller flowers on the card with Victorian Velvet distress ink...

and adding a bit of sparkle with some tiny gems.
