How to make three different handmade projects, using one die cut set

Hiya crafty friends,

Tattered Lace’s 5th Anniversary celebrations have been going all week, and today is no exception. A new collection is launched today called Romantique. I have been playing with the gorgeous Heart Handbag set.

I think it is quite a useful set of dies to have, as there is a number of elements included, which will come in very handy for a number of projects. As you will see, I have also used the ‘handbag die’ to make different projects other than a bag.

The first thing I made was the masculine favour below, which can be used for an anniversary gift, usher/grooms-men gifts or a wedding table setting.

Everything was made using the dies, even the bow tie which was made by trimming two of the pointed embellishment die cuts.

I'm really pleased how this vintage style wall hanging came out. I love flowers and lace together, especially with a cream/gold colour palette.

And finally, I made a handbag.

As soon as I saw the die set I knew I had to use the textured paper I had in my stash, and it worked perfectly. For the front I made use of the plaque die to make pockets, the solid heart to make the flap, which I embellished with the stitched strap. I added the cute zip die cut to the back, then added the strap and the embellishments.

Happy crafting
